Sharjah Charity House offers AED 1 million to inmates of Sharjah Punishment and Correctional Institution
As part of Year of Zayed, Sharjah Charity House has offered a sum of AED I million to settle the liabilities of prison inmates convicted in financial cases. This donation was intended to release such prison inmates and by so doing support their families. It was also made as part of private institutions' community responsibility in line with higher leadership's keenness to anchor humanitarian and giving heritage founded by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and pursued by the nation's leader. Brigadier Ahmed Shuhail, Director of Punishment and Correctional Institution Dept received the delegation of Sharjah Charity House headed by HE Khalid Mohammed Al Khayyal, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, in the presence of an assemblage of Punishment and Correctional Institution Dept officers. Brigadier Ahmed Shuhail has lauded Sharjah Charity House's humanitarian gesture which was made as part of Year of Zayed initiatives. He further reiterated that the gesture which aimed to reintegrate prison inmates into society and secure them a dignified life, testified to the House's leading role in promoting social empowerment and solidarity.
