This department undertakes the responsibility of maintaining security and order as it guards the vital facilities, commercial centers and the residential quarters in the emirate.

It supervises the police stations which assume the above mentioned responsibilities at the field. It sends the patrols, receives and registers complaints and reports; it secures facilities, controls security and order in residential quarters, public utilities, commercial markets in accordance to the instructions of the competent bodies.

Moreover, some stations of special geographical location have additional functions in organizing the operations of entering and departing the State through different sea, land and air entries. Stations department includes eight stations carrying out the efforts of criminal investigation, guarding, traffic organization in its regional liability area they are as follows:

Al Dhaid Police Station.
The Airport Police Station.
