The deputy assumes all the functions in the absence of the director general or in case his position becomes vacant. However, in all cases he assists the director general to run the work of general department with its different branches.

While he may authorize him to act on behalf of him to supervise certain sub departments. He is also responsible to study proposal reports regarding the course of the work in the general department making his comments before submitted to the director general He also suggests all the necessary methods to develop work and improve performance in the general department with its different branches.

In case of his absence or his position is vacant one of the directors shall replace him as per a decision of the Deputy Minister and according to a suggestion of the Deputy assistant or the Director general whenever it may require.
