They are two kinds

Permits of closing roads, traffic lanes and parking
It requires the following documents to obtain the permit:
Sharjah Municipality approval ( technical section, branch of traffic and safety).
An approved letter from the Contracting company determining the following: Place of closing Period of closing Type of closing .
Administrators from traffic engineering office shall visit the site to ensure that the necessary traffic safety conditions are carried out and to add any further required conditions.
The work permit is issued from department of traffic and licensing (traffic engineering office) after conditions fulfillment.

Building Demolition
It requires the following documents to obtain the permit:
Approved letter from the company.
A map of the site subject of demolition.
An application form of building demolition.
Government departments approval such as:
- Planning and survey.
- Electricity and water authority.
- Natural Gas department.
- Etisalat.

*After the fulfillment of these condition an initial demolition permit is given then returning back to Sharjah Municipality( technical section) to receive the approval, after that to check traffic department ( traffic engineering office) to issue the work permit(demolition).

Permits for activities and occasions
The same conditions of work permits are applied on this type of permit .

Impermissible times of works in Sharjah emirate
- from 6.30 a.m. to 8.30 a.m.
from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
