Appointment Procedures

Applying for appointment in Sharjah Police:

  1. 1 personal photo.
  2. 1 passport photocopy.
  3. A photocopy of Clearance Certificate ( for UAE nationals ).
  4. A photocopy of Birth Certificate.
  5. Photocopies of Educational Certificates.
  6. Photocopies of Experience certificates and the attended training courses (if any)
  7. A photocopy of Marriage Contract( for married)
  8. photocopy of ID

UAE Nationals ' Appointment Qualifications:

  1. Applicant should be 18 years of age.
  2. Applicant should pass medical examination.
  3. Applicant must be of good moral conduct.
  4. Applicant must not have been previously convicted of a dishonorable or breach of trust felony or misdemeanor, unless rehabilitated.
  5. Applicant should not be less than 1 meter and 60 centimeters in height (Males) and 1 meter and 55 centimeters (females) Non – UAE Nationals' Appointment

Non – UAE Nationals' Appointment: Qualifications:

  1. Applicant should be of good moral conduct.
  2. Applicant must not have been previously dismissed from government service by a court verdict or disciplinary decision.
  3. Applicant must not have been previously convicted of a dishonorable or breach of trust felony or misdemeanor.
  4. Applicant should be medically fit.

Community Services

Public and Official Visits to Prison Inmates

Required Documents:

  1. Passport or ID Photocopy.
  2. One Personal Photo.

Service is delivered at:

Customer Service at Punishment and Correctional Dept.

Visits Time:

  1. Mondays and Thursdays, from 8:30 am to 12:30 am (for advocates).
  2. Wednesdays, from 8:30 am to 12:30 am (for consulates and Diplomatic Missions).
  1. From Sunday to Thursday (8:30 am to 12:30 am), for exceptional visits sanctioned by Director of the Department.
  2. Mondays and Fridays, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, for female first degree relatives (mother, wife, sister and daughter) and those having visit permits.
  3. Wednesdays, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, for male first degree relatives (father, husband, brother and son) in addition to those having visit permits.
  4. Fridays, from 9:00 pm to 12:00 am, for male first degree relatives (father, husband, brother and son) and those having visit permits.
  5. Juveniles and detained persons can be visited from 9:00 pm to 12:00 am.
  6. Arab inmates can be visited on Saturdays, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Note:
For exceptional visits, persons should approach the Dept and state the compelling reasons behind such request.
