Sharjah Police (SP) has renewed its certification for the international Quality Management System standard, continuing its commitment to implementing quality standards since 2012.
The renewal follows the successful completion of a comprehensive external audit, reflecting its commitment to developing its institutional work system, enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring the sustainable quality of services provided to the public.
This achievement builds on SP’s efforts to develop its administrative systems by integrating the Quality Management System with other management systems, particularly the Environmental Management and Occupational Health and Safety Management systems. This integration helps unify operations and procedures, reduce duplication, and develop a proactive security and service system that enhances the quality of services provided to the public and ensures a safe and sustainable working environment.
Brigadier General Dr. Sameh Khamis Al Halyan, Director of the Strategy and Institutional Pioneering Department at SP, stressed that renewing the international Quality Management System certification and maintaining it for 14 years reflects the maturity of the SP’s institutional work system and its commitment to establishing quality as a sustainable approach to managing operations and developing services. He noted that quality has become an integral part of SP's institutional culture through the integration of Quality Management System requirements with the Environmental Management and Occupational Health and Safety Management systems. This contributes to unifying efforts, enhancing operational efficiency and supporting decision-making.
