Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police Honors the Working Teams of the Age-Friendly Institutions Award

By Maitha Younis Al Ketbi
His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, honored the work teams whose efforts contributed to five buildings of Sharjah Police Headquarters receiving the Age-Friendly Building designation under the Age-Friendly Buildings Award. The recognition reflects the organization’s commitment to providing an institutional environment that accommodates the needs of senior citizens and enhances their quality of life.
The ceremony was attended by directors general, section heads, and representatives of the winning teams from the following facilities: the Sharjah Police Headquarters Main Building, the Correctional Institution Department Building, the Embalming Building of the Department of Forensic Evidence and Laboratories, the Al Seyouh Comprehensive Police Station Building, and the Al Hamriyah Comprehensive Police Station Building.
The recognition acknowledges the outstanding efforts of the teams in adapting facilities and services to meet the needs of senior citizens and provide them with a service experience that reflects their valued status and lifelong contributions. These efforts support the well-being of older adults and reinforce the position of the Emirate of Sharjah as an age-friendly city, in line with the Sharjah Government’s vision of promoting their welfare and providing a supportive environment for them.
This achievement reflects an institutional vision that places people at the heart of police work and underscores that caring for senior citizens is not merely a service to be delivered, but a social responsibility that honors their contributions, values their place in society, and ensures that their comfort and well-being remain a priority at every stage of life.
