The General Command of Sharjah Police, represented by Dibba Al-Hisn Comprehensive Police Station, participated in an awareness seminar on the risks of electronic fraud and methods of prevention, held under the theme “The Family”, as part of the activities of the Dibba Al-Hisn Sports and Cultural Club Festival. The seminar was attended by Colonel Tareq Abdullah Al-Ahbash, Head of Dibba Al-Hisn Comprehensive Police Station; Fatima Al-Tunaiji, member of the Sharjah Youth Council; Ahmed Abdullah Al-Naqbi, Chairman of the Parents’ Council in Dibba Al-Hisn City; in addition to a number of festival visitors.
The seminar targeted youth and parents, and addressed three main themes: protecting families from electronic fraud, the role of youth in supporting family cohesion, and the importance of parents’ roles in promoting positive thinking and behavior within the family. The seminar also highlighted the most common modern methods of electronic fraud and ways to prevent them, through practical guidance aimed at raising community awareness and protecting individuals and families from falling victim to such crimes, thereby enhancing the culture of preventive security.
During the seminar, Colonel Tareq Abdullah Al-Ahbash emphasized the General Command of Sharjah Police’s commitment to intensifying awareness programs and initiatives, and strengthening community partnerships, given their vital role in raising security awareness, reinforcing preventive concepts, and achieving stability and quality of life within the community.
At the conclusion of the seminar, attendees praised the efforts of Sharjah Police in spreading security awareness, stressing the importance of continuing such purposeful initiatives that contribute to enhancing community security and reinforcing the values of shared responsibility.
