Sharjah Police, in cooperation with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and the Department of Municipality Affairs, celebrated International Workers’ Day on 1 May each year by organizing a series of field visits to labor accommodations and work sites across the Emirate of Sharjah and the Central and Eastern Regions. The initiative highlighted the vital role workers play in the development journey. The visits were marked by positive engagement, and gifts were distributed to workers in appreciation of their efforts and contributions.
In this context, His Excellency Brigadier Dr. Ahmed Saeed Al Naour, Director General of the General Department of Prevention and Safety, affirmed that International Workers’ Day is an important occasion to express appreciation and gratitude for the efforts of workers, who are a fundamental pillar in building society and driving development forward. He noted that through such initiatives, efforts are made to strengthen direct communication with workers, check on their well-being, and reaffirm the commitment to providing a dignified and safe working environment worthy of their contributions.
Sharjah Police affirmed that this initiative is part of ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of life for workers and to reinforce the values of appreciation and respect for all segments of society.
