Sharjah Police has implemented a package of economic incentives and executive decisions approved by the Sharjah Executive Council as part of the Government of Sharjah’s ongoing efforts to support economic activities and strengthen the investment environment. The package includes a range of fee exemptions and reductions aimed at easing financial burdens on companies and economic establishments. These measures will remain in effect for three months from the date of implementation.
The package includes a 50% reduction in fees for the renewal of security permits for commercial activities, a 50% reduction in subscription fees for the security systems operated by Sharjah Police, and a 50% reduction in violations and fines imposed on economic establishments. It also includes a 20% discount on mandatory corporate training programs, such as the Occupational Safety and Health program.
In addition, the package provides a number of exemptions and exceptions. These include the waiver of fees for issuing commercial license certificates for the transport sector. Vehicles belonging to car rental companies, driving institutes and schools, and companies operating leased buses are exempt from the maximum vehicle age requirement and the comprehensive inspection requirement, and a one-year exemption from violations related to the traffic code, with the option to pay any remaining fines in installments after the exemption is applied, and vehicles with expired registrations are exempt from late registration penalties, provided that the registration has not been expired for more than one year. Heavy vehicles engaged in approved projects will also be permitted to operate during restricted hours, subject to prior approval.
