Sharjah Police Organizes Innovation Lab to Advance Security Support System

As part of its institutional commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and developing future-focused solutions, Sharjah Police organized the Security Support Innovation Lab in cooperation with the University of Sharjah.
The event was attended by Brigadier Dr. Jassim bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Deputy Director General of the General Department of Operations and Security Support, and brought together specialists and strategic partners to explore innovative solutions aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the security support system and strengthening operational readiness in line with the future of policing.
Brigadier Dr. Al Suwaidi reaffirmed Sharjah Police’s commitment to embedding innovation across all aspects of security work, noting that the Innovation Lab serves as an institutional platform for generating creative ideas and transforming them into practical projects that enhance operational efficiency, improve response capabilities, and keep pace with evolving security and technological challenges.
The lab brought together representatives from eight departments within Sharjah Police, alongside participants from 11 strategic partner organizations. Discussions focused on four key themes: enhancing the security of critical infrastructure and police facilities, improving responses to unlawful gatherings, strengthening VIP protection capabilities, and developing logistical support systems for field operations.
The sessions generated 24 innovative ideas aimed at supporting and advancing the security system.
Participants also exchanged international best practices and explored innovative solutions based on advanced technologies and artificial intelligence to strengthen preventive and proactive policing, improve operational readiness, accelerate response times, and optimize resource utilization, ultimately contributing to a more agile and sustainable security system that supports community wellbeing.
