The General Command of Sharjah Police, represented by the Directorate of
Drug Prevention and Control and the Directorate of Criminal Investigation, took
part in the Military Police Exhibition for Combating Drugs and Cybercrime 2026.
The exhibition is organized by the Military Police Command at the Ministry of
Defense and runs from January 27 to February 4, with the participation of
several security and military entities. The event aims to strengthen national
efforts in drug prevention and tackling cybercrime.
Through its dedicated pavilion, Sharjah Police showcased a range of key
initiatives and preventive awareness programs designed to enhance community
understanding of the dangers of drugs and to educate the public on emerging
cybercrime methods that keep pace with the rapid evolution of digital
technologies. The participation also highlighted major security challenges
related to drugs and cybercrime through workshops and awareness activities.
Brigadier Majid Al Asam, Director of the Directorate of Drug Prevention and
Control at Sharjah Police, emphasized the General Command’s commitment to
participating in the exhibition for the second consecutive year, reflecting its
dedication to strengthening integrated partnerships with police entities in a
way that raises community awareness and promotes a safe and stable environment.
Colonel Dr. Khalifa Balhai, Director of the Directorate of Criminal
Investigation at Sharjah Police, noted that the exhibition serves as an
effective platform to present the latest practices and technologies in
cybercrime and cybersecurity, contributing to enhanced digital awareness and reinforcing
digital security across the community.
