What is the legal age for opening a light vehicle driving license file?
Those
aged 17.5 years can open a driving license file. They undergo required
training and tests, and the driving license can only be issued to them when
they complete 18 years old.
What are the requirements for opening a driving license file in case residence visa is not issued in the Emirate of Sharjah?
A
residence should be available (
ownership or a tenancy contract attested by Municipality) – Working on
secondment in Sharjah – Working in the same Emirate of Sharjah – based branch
( trade name) and a letter from the company stating the same is also
required.
Validity of Driving license?
Driving
license is valid for one year for those below 21 years of age. For those
above 21 years age, validity of the driving license issued for the first time
is two years. For residents 21 and above, driving license is valid for 5
years when renewed; and for UAE nationals 21 and above, for 10 years.
