In a significant step reflecting its continued commitment to developing its service systems, advancing digital transformation, and providing customers with a more convenient and flexible experience, the Sharjah Police, in cooperation with noon, is preparing to launch a new service for collecting vehicle license plates from customers and delivering them to the Traffic and Licensing Service Centers of the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department.
Once launched, the service will enable customers to complete licensing transactions that require vehicle license plates to be handed over to service centers without visiting in person. This will be available when applying for approved digital services provided by the Traffic and Licensing Service Centers or through the Ministry of Interior’s MOI UAE application.
The service system is based on customers handing over their vehicle license plates to a noon representative, who will deliver them to the Traffic and Licensing Service Centers. Once the plates have been handed over, the customer will immediately receive a text message confirming their collection, after which they can complete the remaining transaction procedures electronically through the Ministry of Interior’s smart applications and the Traffic and Licensing Service Centers’ digital channels.
The service will help streamline the customer journey and reduce the time and effort associated with visiting service centers by integrating field procedures with digital channels within a seamless experience that enables transactions to be completed flexibly and efficiently. It will also enhance the use of technological solutions in developing the traffic services provided by the Sharjah Police.
