Sharjah Police has launched its Ramadan awareness programme, "Aman Ya Ramadan," which will be broadcast throughout the holy month on Sharjah TV and the police's social media platforms. The programme comprises 15 short episodes, produced in cooperation with the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, to enhance security awareness and promote positive behaviours during Ramadan.
Brigadier Dr Mohammed Butti Al Hajri, Director of the Security Media Department at Sharjah Police, emphasised the importance of institutional partnerships in strengthening safety and raising public awareness. He explained that the programme presents security, traffic, and community-related topics that reflect everyday life, using simple, direct messages delivered through short dramatised scenes.
Brigadier Al Hajri added that the programme is designed to be concise and impactful, with each episode concluding with a direct message that encourages compliance and a strong sense of responsibility, reflecting Sharjah Police's humanitarian and community-oriented role as a partner in enhancing quality of life.
The "Aman Ya Ramadan" programme addresses several behaviours that typically emerge during the holy month, including reckless driving before iftar, improper parking that disrupts traffic, begging, online fraud, and misuse of fireworks. It also covers home safety, child protection, and the promotion of respect, tolerance, and social solidarity.
Sharjah Police urged members of the public to follow the programme and benefit from its awareness messages, reaffirming its commitment to launching initiatives that protect lives and property while promoting safety and discipline during Ramadan.
