The Sharjah Police, in the presence of Colonel Humaid Saeed bin Sahooh, Director of the Commercial Areas Police Department, honored an Arab resident for his strong security awareness, community vigilance, and responsible cooperation with law enforcement authorities. The recognition highlights the importance of partnership between community members and law enforcement authorities and the role such cooperation plays in strengthening security and safety and supporting crime prevention efforts.
The resident was honored for demonstrating security awareness and a strong sense of community responsibility after noticing behavior that had raised his suspicions. He responded calmly and responsibly, reporting the matter to the security authorities, which allowed them to take appropriate action in accordance with established security procedures.
Sharjah Police affirmed that the vigilance of community members and their awareness of their surroundings provide vital support to security efforts and contribute to quick responses to suspicious behavior and activities. It commended the residents' responsible conduct, noting that the recognition reflects its commitment to honoring positive role models in the community who recognize their responsibility towards public security and understand that safeguarding the gains of security and stability is a shared responsibility that requires the combined efforts of law enforcement authorities and the awareness and cooperation of community members.
Sharjah Police urged members of the public not to hesitate to call 999 to report emergencies and 901 for inquiries and non-emergency cases. It also stressed the importance of avoiding direct intervention or confrontation and leaving such situations to the competent security authorities.
