Edited by: Dr Shaimaa Al Marzouqi

The Sharjah Police concluded its summer programs held under the “Little Police Officer” program, with the participation of 2,164 children and youth. The initiative featured a series of purposeful programs designed to invest the summer holiday by developing young people’s skills, enhancing security and community awareness, and instilling the values of responsibility and belonging, in line with strategic objectives aimed at enhancing quality of life, strengthening community partnership, and building an aware and responsible generation.

The “Police Friends - Boys” and “Police Friends - Girls” courses were among the summer program organized by the Sharjah Police Sciences Academy. The 39th edition of the “Police Friends - Boys” course and the 8th edition of the “Police Friends- Girls” course offered an integrated national program designed to make productive use of young people’s time during the summer holiday, instill the values of discipline, responsibility, and national loyalty, and develop their personal, social, and leadership skills through diverse training and educational content.

The Sharjah Police’s summer programs, held under the umbrella of the “Little Police Officer” program, offered a diverse range of activities combining knowledge, training, field experience, and physical activity. The “Future Writer” program helped develop writing and creative-thinking skills while encouraging participants to read and express their ideas in innovative ways. Meanwhile, the “Future Inspector” program provided participants with a hands-on security experience, introducing them to inspection procedures, X-ray screening, and measures for securing passengers, baggage, and cargo.

In the sporting field, the summer swimming program for the children of Sharjah Police personnel helped develop sporting skills and enhance physical fitness under the supervision of specialized trainers. The “Districts Buds” program combined educational and physical activities with “Al Sanaa” workshops, aimed at preserving Emirati cultural heritage and instilling positive values and behaviors. The “Young Legal Expert” Initiative also enhanced legal and security awareness among children and youth through a simplified and interactive approach, strengthening their understanding of rights and responsibilities and instilling the values of patriotism, community responsibility, and respect for the law.
The Sharjah Police General Command affirmed that these programs reflect its longstanding institutional approach to investing in younger generations and strengthening community prevention. These efforts contribute to preparing more aware generations capable of making a positive contribution to their communities, while supporting the Sharjah Police objectives of promoting and sustaining security and quality of life for future generations.
