Sharjah Police have clarified the circumstances surrounding the death of an Asian woman at her residence in one of the emirate’s areas, confirming that initial examinations found no apparent signs of criminal involvement.
The General Department of Comprehensive Police Stations launched an investigation after the Central Operations Room received a report of an unconscious woman inside a residence. Security teams and the relevant authorities immediately responded to the scene, in coordination with the National Ambulance, to handle the incident and take the necessary measures.
The woman was transported to hospital in an attempt to save her life, but she was later pronounced dead.
Initial examination of the scene revealed no visible indications of foul play. The Public Prosecution was subsequently notified and ordered that the body be referred to forensic medicine for further examination, while legal procedures and investigations continue in accordance with approved protocols.
Sharjah Police stated that the swift and coordinated response to the report reflects the readiness and efficiency of its security teams in handling various incidents. This includes promptly reaching and securing the scene, carrying out thorough field examinations, and maintaining close coordination with the relevant authorities to ensure proper procedures and establish the circumstances of incidents with accuracy and transparency.
Sharjah Police also urged members of the public and media outlets to verify information before sharing it, avoid circulating unconfirmed reports or drawing conclusions ahead of official investigations and medical findings, and rely on official sources for information related to the case.
