Sharjah Police General Headquarters is participating in the 26th edition of the Sharjah International Narrator Forum 2026, held at the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, with a series of workshops and awareness programmes targeting children and their families. The activities address a range of security and community-related topics through interactive approaches, with Sharjah Police’s participation continuing until next Saturday.
Brigadier Faisal Bin Nassar, Director General of the General Department of Community Prevention and Protection, said that Sharjah Police’s participation in the forum reflects its commitment to promoting security and community awareness among children and their families. He highlighted the importance of cultural and community events as effective platforms for delivering awareness messages in simple and interactive ways that help instil positive behaviours and strengthen concepts of security, prevention, and community responsibility among younger generations.
Sharjah Police’s participation focuses on four main themes: security, traffic safety, community awareness, and awareness of the dangers of narcotic substances. It also features a range of awareness publications designed for children and their families, including The Little Police Officer and Traffic Safety stories.
The participation also includes an interactive platform featuring images and awareness-based scenarios that encourage children to use their imagination and express, in their own way, what they consider right and wrong behaviour in relation to traffic safety, security, and community matters. Children can transform these situations and images into awareness messages that reinforce positive behaviour.
In keeping with the spirit of the forum, the initiative connects the art of storytelling with awareness and encourages children and families to engage in narration and dialogue, turning every story shared by a visitor into an awareness message from which everyone can benefit.
