Sharjah Police General Command has denied recent reports circulated by some media outlets claiming that the wife and son of an Asian man were missing following a murder case that occurred last month.
Sharjah Police confirmed that its Criminal Investigation teams had already uncovered the circumstances surrounding the crime. Investigations also established that the victim’s wife and son had left the UAE and returned to their home country, with no missing-person reports registered in relation to either of them.
The case began after Sharjah Police received a report of a death suspected to have resulted from a criminal act. Specialized teams immediately attended the scene and began examining the location, collecting evidence and gathering information related to the incident. The victim’s body was subsequently referred to the forensic laboratory upon instructions from the Public Prosecution.
The Criminal Investigation Department then launched extensive inquiries, gathering evidence and analyzing the available information. Through careful tracking and cross-referencing of the findings, investigators were able to establish the circumstances of the crime.
Based on the outcome of the investigation, legal action was taken against the suspects, and the case was referred to the Public Prosecution for further legal proceedings.
Sharjah Police General Command stressed the importance of obtaining information from official sources and verifying the accuracy of news before sharing or publishing it. It warned that unverified or inaccurate information may mislead the public or affect ongoing legal proceedings.
Sharjah Police also called on members of the public and media organizations to refer to official channels for accurate and reliable information.
