His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, honoured Sharjah Police Headquarters this morning for winning the “Outstanding Communication Impact on Quality of Life” award for its “Sharjah Security” program. The recognition came at the 13th edition of the Sharjah Government Communication Award, organized by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau. The ceremony was attended by sheikhs, ministers, dignitaries, senior officials, heads and directors of government departments and authorities, and representatives of the entities participating in the award.
His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, attended the ceremony alongside members of the program’s team. The award recognizes the General Headquarters’ efforts to develop its security media capabilities and use communication tools that keep pace with digital transformation. These efforts support its strategic direction to strengthen security and improve quality of life, in line with the vision and direction of the UAE Government, and particularly the Government of Sharjah.
Colonel Abdulrahman Khater, Deputy Director of the Security Media Department at Sharjah Police, said this achievement reflects Sharjah Police’s vision of establishing security media as a strategic partner in achieving its institutional objectives. He explained that its role extends beyond reporting events and highlighting achievements to building public awareness and promoting a culture of prevention and shared responsibility, helping to create a more informed and safer society.
He explained that the award won by the “Sharjah Security” program, broadcast across Sharjah Police social media platforms, reflects the importance of investing in meaningful media content. The program highlights the realities of police work and operational efforts, delivering awareness messages that address community concerns through innovative media approaches that encourage positive behaviour and strengthen the partnership between the police and the public.
He also highlighted continued efforts to improve media output and use advanced technologies to deliver messages with greater impact and reach, strengthening the contribution of security media to national priorities and creating a positive, lasting impact on society.
