Sharjah Police, through the Punitive and Correctional Institution, concluded a three-week vocational training in Automotive Mechanics, graduating 37 inmates in the presence of Mr. Alexander Charles, After-Sales Service Manager at Al Ghandi Motors. This joint initiative aims to develop inmates' technical skills and enhance their readiness for the labor market.
Colonel Abdullah Mohammed Al Mahyan, Deputy Director of the Punitive and Correctional Institution, emphasized that these high-quality programs align with the institution's strategic framework to empower inmates professionally. They provide practical skills that increase opportunities for effective and sustainable social integration, noting that partnerships with private-sector organizations are a fundamental pillar of support for reform and rehabilitation pathways.
The program included both practical and theoretical training in the fundamentals of vehicle maintenance, fault diagnosis, and the use of workshop tools, all in accordance with best practices. This was conducted alongside a commitment to occupational health and safety requirements, under the supervision of specialized trainers and technicians, contributing to improving trainees' efficiency and qualifying them in accordance with accredited professional standards.
At the conclusion of the program, the graduates were honored and presented with certificates of completion in recognition of their efforts and active participation.
