Sharjah Police held a dialogue session with government departments and entities in the Emirate of Sharjah that implement the Business Continuity System, to review the Security Incident Management System and the electronic program dedicated to business continuity. The session was organized in coordination with the Crisis and Disaster Management Department at Sharjah Police, alongside a review of the approved procedures in this vital field.
The session was attended by His Excellency Brigadier Khalid Saeed Bo Zengal, Deputy Director General of the General Department of Prevention and Safety; Colonel Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Director of the Business Continuity Department; Colonel Mohammed Ghabar, Director of the Crisis and Disaster Management Department; in addition to heads of business continuity teams from participating government entities.
His Excellency Brigadier Khalid Bo Zengal emphasized the importance of these dialogue sessions in reinforcing concepts of institutional integration and enhancing the exchange of expertise and experiences among entities, in a manner that supports the development of the business continuity system and elevates institutional readiness, in line with national directions aimed at enhancing the quality of life and ensuring the sustainability of vital services under all circumstances.
The session addressed the mechanisms of the Business Continuity System and the requirements for its activation and implementation, and highlighted opportunities for improvement and development. It also reviewed approved plans to ensure the continued, efficient, and effective delivery of vital services under various circumstances. Furthermore, the session highlighted mechanisms for coordination and joint integration among government entities, contributing to unified efforts, faster crisis response, and enhanced efficiency in emergency management, thereby ensuring business sustainability and the continued delivery of services at a high level.
