In a step that reflects its commitment to enhancing financial literacy among its personnel, Sharjah Police organized the second edition of its Financial Awareness Forum. The event was attended by Brigadier Dr. Ali Ahmed Bu Al Zoud, Director General of the General Department of Resources and Support Services, along with directors-general, police personnel, and representatives from government entities.
Held at the Sustainability Hall at the General Headquarters, the forum aimed to strengthen financial literacy, promote sound financial management practices, and empower personnel to manage their financial resources efficiently and responsibly, contributing to an improved quality of life.
Brigadier Dr. Ali Ahmed Bu Al Zoud emphasized that Sharjah Police places great importance on enhancing financial awareness among its personnel, based on its belief that financial literacy plays a vital role in achieving family and social stability and enables individuals to manage their financial obligations responsibly.
He noted that effective financial management contributes to improving quality of life and enhances the ability to deal with various financial challenges.
The forum featured an educational lecture delivered by OushaAl Ahbabi, a certified trainer in financial literacy and personal financial planning. Her presentation covered key concepts of personal financial management, the importance of financial planning, developing clear financial plans, and strengthening a culture of saving.
She also highlighted best practices that help individuals avoid common financial mistakes and achieve long-term financial stability, thereby enhancing financial awareness and supporting participants in managing their financial affairs efficiently and sustainably.
The forum concluded with positive engagement from attendees, who enriched the discussions through their questions and contributions. Participants also explored successful financial models and inspiring practices, while benefiting from practical guidance and advice aimed at building a sustainable culture of financial awareness.
