Sharjah Police has further strengthened its position as a leader in government innovation and human-centered service development after winning two prestigious awards at the Dubai Quality Group Awards.
The first recognition was awarded to the “Muwasah” project, which won the Ideas UAE Award in the Institutional Category for Zero Bureaucracy, while Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Amina Yousif Al Naqbi received the Emirates Women Award in the Outstanding Employee category.
The achievement reflects Sharjah Police’s success in fostering a culture of innovation, creating a work environment that encourages creativity and empowering national talent to develop impactful initiatives and services that benefit society.
The Dubai Quality Group Awards are among the region’s leading platforms for recognizing excellence, quality, and innovation. They aim to promote a culture of excellence and sustainability while encouraging institutions and individuals to adopt best practices that enhance competitiveness and innovation.
The award-winning “Muwasah” project was developed as part of Sharjah Police’s efforts to create more flexible and compassionate government services. The initiative aims to ease the administrative, psychological, and financial burdens faced by bereaved families through an integrated system that connects relevant entities and streamlines procedures. Developed in partnership with 14 organizations, the project supports the UAE’s Zero Government Bureaucracy Programand contributes to improving quality of life.
Brigadier Dr. Tariq Jassim Al Midfa, Deputy Director General of the General Department of Community Protection and Prevention, said the achievement reflects the level of institutional maturity reached by Sharjah Police in innovation and government service development.
He noted that the success is the result of continuous support from the Government of Sharjah in promoting excellence and innovation through initiatives such as the Sharjah Customer Experience Improvement Program, which aims to deliver integrated, people-centered services under the direct supervision of the Executive Council of Sharjah.
Brigadier Al Midfa expressed pride in the achievement, describing it as evidence of Sharjah Police’s ability to transform innovative ideas into initiatives that create tangible social impact. He also highlighted the importance of investing in national talent and strengthening strategic partnerships, praising the efforts of work teams and partners who contributed to the accomplishment.
In a parallel achievement, Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Amina Yousif Al Naqbi received the Emirates Women Award in recognition of her professional accomplishments and contributions to institutional excellence. She noted that the award is a tribute to every Emirati woman who contributes to serving the nation and reflects the confidence national institutions place in Emirati talent.
She added that the continuous support and empowerment of women by the UAE leadership has created an environment where innovation and excellence can flourish, enabling inspiring success stories and reinforcing Sharjah Police’s reputation as a leader in institutional excellence and community service.
