Sharjah Police has expanded its operational fleet with 130 new security vehicles, reinforcing its commitment to enhancing public safety and delivering high-quality policing services. The initiative forms part of the force's strategic approach to investing in its operational capabilities, strengthening field deployment, improving officer readiness, and ensuring faster responses to emergencies and security incidents across the emirate.
The fleet expansion reflects Sharjah Police's ongoing efforts to modernize its policing system by equipping its security sectors with advanced vehicles that meet the demands of contemporary law enforcement. The new additions provide officers with enhanced operational capabilities, enabling them to carry out their duties efficiently and professionally under a wide range of operational conditions while keeping pace with evolving security challenges.
The enhanced fleet also supports Sharjah Police's community-focused mission by increasing its presence across residential neighborhoods and key locations throughout the emirate. This will enable officers to reach incident sites more quickly and deliver more efficient security services, reinforcing public confidence and ensuring that police personnel remain visible, accessible, and actively engaged in protecting lives, property, and quality of life.
The new vehicles are equipped with a comprehensive range of advanced technical and operational features, including intelligent communication systems, modern field equipment, and the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency. These capabilities are designed to support officers in carrying out their duties while improving response times and enhancing the precision and effectiveness of security operations.
Major General Dr. Ali Bu Al Zoud, Director General of the General Department of Resources and Support Services, said the fleet modernization forms part of Sharjah Police's proactive plans to invest in advanced technologies and modern equipment in line with the rapid evolution of the security sector. He noted that the initiative will enhance the efficiency and flexibility of field operations while strengthening strategic partnerships with private sector organizations to leverage the latest technologies and specialized expertise in support of the sustainable development of policing services.
He added that developing the security fleet is one of the strategic pillars underpinning Sharjah Police's efforts to strengthen its operational resources, enhance policing services, and maintain operational readiness in accordance with international best practices. These efforts, he said, contribute to improving community safety and security while ensuring a strong police presence throughout the emirate and delivering world-class policing services that reflect Sharjah's standing as a global model for security and community service.
