Communities on the occasion of the new academic year. We hope it
will be a year filled with success, excellence, and distinction—a year that
aligns with the aspirations of our wise leadership and meets their goals for
enhancing the capabilities of our nation’s youth, developing their skills and
expertise, and equipping them with the knowledge and sciences that prepare
them to keep pace with the new era and its challenges.
The tremendous security efforts have made safety and security in the
emirate not just a slogan raised by the leadership or a strategic goal to be
achieved, but a reality that people experience daily in their homes and
workplaces. Thanks the tireless efforts of the security agencies, security
and safety have become stable around the clock.
As ensuring security and safety is the primary goal of the Sharjah Police
General Command, preparations for the new academic year have been aligned
with strategic security plans aimed at facilitating a smooth, comfortable,
and safe return to school for students. The Sharjah Police General Command
has played a pivotal role in educating students, parents, and drivers about
the importance of cooperation and strict adherence to traffic rules and
safety guidelines to ensure the safe arrival of students.
Furthermore, Sharjah Police has intensified its awareness efforts through
various media channels—written, visual, and audio—as well as social media, to
reach the highest levels of security awareness concerning a safe return to
school. These awareness efforts have been communicated in multiple languages
(Arabic, English, and Urdu) to benefit students, parents, bus and taxi
drivers, and all road users. Let us all be partners in ensuring safe
arrivals.
In this issue, we explore the start of the new academic year from security,
educational, and social perspectives. Additionally, we examine the risks
associated with hiring unlicensed drivers to transport students to and from
school. We also highlight the Sharjah Police General Command’s celebration of
